Progress, Y’all!
I’m so excited to share some good news with y’all this week! It’s been rough, but I’m finally making serious progress and things are looking up.
Author Journey
For the last week, I’ve been working hard to finish the read-through of Ripples with my mom. I can’t tell you how many times she’s heard me read my story but she agrees to help over and over again. It’s such a blessing to have a mom like that!
So having finished the read-through, you’d think it was ready for publishing. Not quite! I have to scan through it again to see what didn’t compile correctly when I moved it from Scrivener to docx. That’s quite a process, too, but since I’m looking for only a handful of specific things, I think it’ll be done a little faster. I’m looking, tentatively, at a November release date. I’m praying I can move fast enough and accurately enough to make it.
For The Tale of Outh’n Durr, I know some of you have been eagerly awaiting the print options. They’re coming! I filled out the ISBN info and uploaded the full cover to Draft2Digital today. That’s part of the reason I’m so late with today’s post. If the cover and inside look as cool as the website preview makes it look, I’ll be more than satisfied.
I’ll be so glad to start working on Surge again, as well as another short story. I keep hoping to find a happy rhythm, but I’m just so very tired. Still, I keep pressing on. Here’s a little snippet from Ripples I found especially poignant considering the recent tragedies.
A happy little bookstack

Writer’s Life
Rather than write a bunch about what’s been going, just know that my husband has been recovering from surgery. Thanks for your prayers! Our youngest has been really struggling with a few things so we’ve been trying to help her, too. Our oldest daughter is moving back in with us for a short time and, of course, the transition is never easy, though this has been a fairly pleasant transition so far. Otherwise, here’s a few more photos for you to get a glimpse of the last few weeks.
Thank y’all so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoy the snippet and pictures. I’m excited and I hope you’re getting excited, too!
Until next time…
Keep turning pages.
