Robin the Librarian?
Welcome to the scenic route! I hope you’re having a great day. I’m enjoying my coffee with milk and a dash of cinnamon as I ponder what to write about today. Ah! I have it…
Author Journey
Excitement. Fear. Both emotions come to the fore when someone asks to focus on my writing in some way. I have a friend who has a Twitch stream dedicated to gaming and writing. He asked if he could feature some of my work in his most recent stream which aired yesterday.
Sadly, I missed the stream, but I can’t wait to see the replay. When it posts to YouTube, I’ll share it, though I will warn y’all about language. This is an adult stream, so I can’t promise everything that may be discussed will be safe for young ones. If you’d like to take a look at his page on Twitch, you can find it here. I can’t wait to see what he and his streaming friends had to say about my work.
Also, if you want to purchase a paperback or ebook copy of either Ripples or The Tale of Outh’n Durr before I switch to a different printer, now’s the time. I have a few changed to make in Ripples, and I’ll need to make certain the covers are accurate for the new company. Once the process starts, I think the minimum time it could be before the books are available will be six weeks. But I could be wrong. I just want to get it all done and finalized as quickly and accurately as possible.
Writer’s Life
I’m happy that I’ve finally decided on a course of action which allows me to keep being creative in my writing. Have any of you read the prompt stories I’ve posted so far? If not, don’t leave without subscribing. You’ll get my blog posts and prompt stories directly in your email inbox, as well as have access to some fun free downloadables. (Don’t forget to add me to your contacts so these emails don’t get sent to your spam folder!)
Now you may be wondering about today’s title. My husband and I have an extensive personal library, both physical and digital. We needed a way to catalog all the books that didn’t take an exorbitant amount of time.
Enter Obsidian! We found this nifty video by Karlo Obsidian Tutorials. Honestly, I kept up with it for about three steps, then got lost. Thankfully, my husband knew what this Vtuber was talking about. Y’all check it out!
I hope you find this helpful if you also have an extensive library and some tech knowledge. My husband and I are working together to input the books into the system and I can’t wait to see the completed project.
Conclusion
I know it isn’t much, but this is honestly what I’ve been focusing on the most this week. I’m eager to see what next week’s prompt words will be and how those stories come out. I was pretty happy with my first two, but I’m unsure about the third one. You win some; you lose some, I guess.
Until next time…
Keep turning pages.
